The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Balka is located in a small bay on the south coast of Bornholm and is known for its beach. The water is calm, the sand is white, and the curved coastline forms the most beautiful oasis. Charming Snogebæk is south of Balka, with shops, eateries, a smo­ke­hou­se, and a cosy harbour setting. Heading north, you’ll encounter one of the island’s towns, Nexø, where you’ll find historic buildings, museums, cultural landmarks, local arts and crafts, and more.

Kjul Strand is the perfect holiday desti­na­tion for re­laxa­tion and water sports acti­vi­ties. You can laze all day long on the wide sandy beaches or jump in the blue sea and try your hand on windsur­fing. The beaches in the area have been awarded the Blue Flag cer­ti­fi­ca­tion. Sur­ro­un­ding the beach, you will find a number of small winding trails for you to explore dune landscape and woodlands. Kjul is a quiet little village where you can leave the hectic everyday life behind you for a while.
