Ebeltoft is a small town frozen in time, with crooked half-timbered houses and narrow, cobbled streets. Northern Funen is home to the oldest market town on Funen, Bogense, offering the best views of the Kattegat. Here you can see the historic Sankt Nikolaj Church and enjoy the lovely merchant square where you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the weekly market day with flower, fruit and vegetable stalls. Bogense also features various specialty shops and re­stau­rants. The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Aakirkeby offers hi­sto­ri­cal buildings, museums, and cultural at­tra­ctions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Al­min­din­gen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Spend several hours exploring the terrain and the hi­sto­ri­cal and cultural sights here, such as Ryt­ter­k­næg­ten and Ekkodalen.
