Just 4 km from the village, you have Risemark Strand on the southern coast of Ærø for you to enjoy a sandy beach and lapping waves. The beach is extremely child-friendly with its shallow water and it should be noted that the beach has a de­sig­na­ted area for naturists.

As a ho­li­day­ma­ker in Rubjerg, do not miss a visit to Rubjerg Knude Ligh­t­hou­se which attracted in­ter­na­tio­nal attention back in 2019 when the ligh­t­hou­se was moved further inland as it was buried in sand and therefore at risk of falling into the sea.
