Hear the North Sea roar outside your window, while the tranquil Ferring Lake is just a few ki­lo­metres away. Hence, there is ample op­portu­ni­ty to kayak, kite surf, windsurf, paddle board and so much more. You can also explore the coast by bike, or hike along the many beautiful routes that take you through the fa­sci­nat­ing landscape. Col­loqui­al­ly, Mariager Fjord is known as the most beautiful fjord in Denmark and maybe not without reason. Here you can let yourself be fa­sci­na­ted by the glassy water, the luxuriant forests and open co­un­trysi­de. You can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the fjord from the water by hiring a kayak or going on a guided sail. And if you are into hiking, you can find various green trails to explore. Mariager is known as the “Town of Roses” as it is adorned with a wide range of roses planted in the streets and alleys in the town. In and around Mariager, you will find a number of museums and cultural-hi­sto­ri­cal at­tra­ctions, all of which bear witness to the history of the area.

Spend your holiday home break in the tranqui­li­ty of the forest under the forest canopy in Ulvshale Skov. This lush, dense area is untouched, with only the paths cleared for hiking. This means that nature and wildlife are wild and secluded, so you might get lucky and see rare birds and other animals, or ex­pe­ri­en­ce wild orchids and specta­cu­lar coastal en­viron­ments close by. A stone’s throw away is Ulvshale Strand, one of Møn’s best beaches. The cosy little island of Nyord is just off the coast and is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit, while Møns Klint is not far.
