On the east coast of Rømø is Kromose, right on the Wadden Sea. Here you can design a wonderful holiday amid some of Denmark’s most beautiful nature. Rømø is ideal for exploring on foot, by bike or perhaps on horseback, but you can also hop in a kayak or on a surfboard and see the coast from the water. Between Roskilde Fjord, Arresø and the Kattegat is Evetofte. A cosy oasis where you can design the holiday of your dreams. The idyllic and scenic area around Arresø offers plenty of hiking and cycling routes, and Arresø Canal takes you directly to the alluring landscape of Roskilde Fjord. Close to Evetofte are museums, galleries and several of North Zealand’s beautiful castles, where you can immerse yourself in the treasures of the past. In the sur­ro­un­ding towns you will also find a wide range of shops, eateries, cosy harbour en­viron­ments and lovely beaches.

The area is divided into Langdal, Søn­der­strand and Landsende and offers lush and rich nature with plan­ta­tions, forests, heathers and dunes. A stone’s throw from here you will find Søn­der­stran­den, one of Rømø’s gems with its wide, desert-like sand surface that invites you to spend wonderful days by the water. Try, for example, beach sailing, kite buggying or hop on a surfboard. The beach is also perfect for relaxing walks, where you can enjoy the mag­ni­fi­cent view and maybe even spot seals on the coast. Finally, dive into the area’s art scene and visit some of the small galleries and workshops.

Svendborg is known as the most beautiful market town of Southern Funen. Ori­gi­nal­ly an old seafaring town, it offers a really special maritime at­mosp­he­re with seaviews and a harbour en­viron­ment buzzing with life. The old seafaring town oozes historic charm. You ex­pe­ri­en­ce the history of Southern Funen up close by paying the Latin Quarter, the oldest part of Svendborg, a visit. In the Latin Quarter, you can visit an abundance of stores and small local shops and sample local de­li­ca­cies in the re­stau­rants and cafés of the area. Svendborg town centre is also the hub of various musical events all year round, creating life in the streets to a degree.
