Havnsø is a seaport on Northwest Zealand. Here you can enjoy life on the beach, which, with its low water, is perfect for water play for people of all ages. Just under 5 km from Havnsø you will find the protected natural area of Eskebjerg Ve­ster­lyng. Known as Zealand’s largest heath, the natural area offers rolling landsca­pes with beaches, dunes and shrubs – and, with any luck, you might also see free-range cattle and horses. From Havnsø you can also enjoy the view of Nekselø Bay, and if you look carefully, you can see Nekselø and Sejerø in the distance. Both islands can be reached by ferry from Havnsø.

Horne Som­mer­land is a popular summer land area on Southern Funen. The region is sur­ro­un­ded by beautiful green nature with open co­un­trysi­de and idyllic coast­li­nes. Around these parts, you will have a range of outdoor acti­vi­ties right at your fin­ger­tips. Among other things, coastal hiking trails, bicycle tracks for you to explore the local wildlife and flora that are par­ti­cu­lar­ly cha­ra­cte­ri­stic of the sur­ro­un­ding on Southern Funen. The region is also at­tra­cting anglers as both sailing and angling are extremely popular acti­vi­ties around these parts. Near the summer land area, you will also find the port town of Bøjden and from here, you can reach Als directly by ferry.

This quaint fishing village boasts South Zealand’s best beach, where fine sand and shallow water make it an ideal holiday desti­na­tion for families. Along the canal, you will find cosy re­stau­rants and shops. Treat yourself to fresh seafood from local fish shops and enjoy it by the water in town or bring it back to your holiday home. For those looking for an adventure, Kar­re­bæks­min­de also offers sailing trips with the tour boat “Friheden” between Kar­re­bæks­min­de and Næstved in the summer.
