On the northern coast of the Kattegat is Hald Beach. Here you can easily spend hours swimming, playing games on the beach, reading a good book, enjoying the perfect view, and so on. The area is also ideal for exploring on foot or by bike, and you will find many lovely trails and routes around the terrain. The towering coastline gives the landscape a par­ti­cu­lar­ly dramatic feel and offers one bre­ath­taking view after another. North of Fre­de­riks­havn, you will find the holiday resort of Bratten. Here you will be close to green sur­ro­un­dings and wonderful beaches. You will be better off exploring the area on a bicycle or on foot to find the many hidden trails leading to idyllic natural resorts. Get up close and personal with nature, listen to the buzzing of insects and explore the beautiful flora. Near Bratten, you will find the port town of Strandby where you can see the charming harbour en­viron­ment unfold right in front of you. And with Fre­de­riks­havn just 10 km away, you also have great shopping op­portu­ni­ties, in­te­r­e­sting cultural at­tra­ctions and cosy eateries right at your fin­ger­tips.

Tårup Strand is a summer land area on the eastern coast of Funen, sur­ro­un­ded by a hillscape and over­look­ing the clear water of the Great Belt. Here you can take walks along the coast, enjoy the views and the fresh sea air and – if you are lucky – spot ships om their journey through the Great Belt. You will see that the beach in the area changes character the further up the coast you go. The first part of the beach consists of a stone bed and it has a bathing jetty while 1 km further up the coast, you are met by a fine sandy beach offering the op­portu­ni­ty to play in the water and sunbathe. Take a long swim in the blue sea or laze in the sun all day long. The choice is yours.
