Spend your summer break in a holiday home in the seaport of Tejn with its maritime at­mosp­he­re featuring a large harbour with active fishing, a boatyard, and cutters of all colours and sizes. Tejn is home to artists and other creative souls, so there are plenty of local creations to explore, such as ceramics and paintings, in addition to local food ex­pe­ri­en­ces. There are several historic churches and buildings nearby, including one of the island’s famous round churches. Tejn is not far from Ham­mers­hus and the stunning natural en­viron­ment around Ham­mer­knu­den, which is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit.

The scenic sur­ro­un­dings of Ring­kø­bing Fjord create a par­ti­cu­lar­ly lively at­mosp­he­re, which is perfect for an en­chan­ting stay in a holiday home by the water. Along the fjord, you will find beautiful hiking and cycling routes, cosy re­stau­rants for lunch al fresco, and lots of little rocky coves where you can go fishing. The fjord is also ideal for surfing, sailing or trying out other types of water sports. For the youngest family members, there are several fun and safe play­gro­unds to enjoy and explore. And don’t forget to try out the many cosy re­stau­rants in Skaven to enjoy the local cuisine and at­mosp­he­re.

Saksild Strand is a popular holiday home area just outside the town of Saksild. The area is par­ti­cu­lar­ly well-known for its beautiful beach of the same name. Indeed, the beach is actually referred to as one of East Jutland’s best beaches. Here there is white sand and calm waters without large waves and un­dercur­rents. And of course, the beach has also been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for such fine swimming con­di­tions. In and around the holiday home area you will find several good eateries and a nearby ice cream house known for its great ice cream. From Saksild Strand you have a 20-minute drive to Aarhus, while you can get to Odder in 10 minutes.

Rødhus is a beautiful and quiet holiday area sur­ro­un­ded by the most beautiful dune landscape. Back at the dawn of time, sand drift left Rødby de­va­sta­ted; today, however, it is espe­ci­al­ly popular due to its abundant nature and wildlife. So Rødhus is also an obvious holiday desti­na­tion if you want to explore the wonders of nature. You are better off exploring the wonderful natural resorts on foot or on a bicycle. Here you will find small trails and vast sand dunes where you can hike to get close to nature, ex­pe­ri­en­cing the abundant wildlife. So when ho­li­daying in a summer cottage in Rødhus, you will have the Danish nature right outside your cottage door.
