Saksild Strand is a popular holiday home area just outside the town of Saksild. The area is par­ti­cu­lar­ly well-known for its beautiful beach of the same name. Indeed, the beach is actually referred to as one of East Jutland’s best beaches. Here there is white sand and calm waters without large waves and un­dercur­rents. And of course, the beach has also been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for such fine swimming con­di­tions. In and around the holiday home area you will find several good eateries and a nearby ice cream house known for its great ice cream. From Saksild Strand you have a 20-minute drive to Aarhus, while you can get to Odder in 10 minutes.

The charming fishing village of Hvide Sande is an idyllic Danish summer desti­na­tion with plenty to ex­pe­ri­en­ce for people of all ages. Visit the brewery, the candy store, smo­ke­hou­se or one of the other specialty shops and sample regional flavours. You will also find many cosy re­stau­rants where you can enjoy a nice meal. On scenic Nord­fal­ster, close to the old market town of Stub­be­kø­bing, sits the quaint town of Kongsnæs. From here you can look over at Bogø and Møn, and in clear weather you can see several of the area’s charming small islands. The quiet waters that separate the islands create a cosy fjord-like en­viron­ment with calm waters, lovely beaches, bays and idyllic little nooks. There are great op­portu­ni­ties for walking and cycling around the scenic landscape, and you’ll find marked hiking trails to guide you around and reveal beautiful views.
