Tårup Strand is a summer land area on the eastern coast of Funen, sur­ro­un­ded by a hillscape and over­look­ing the clear water of the Great Belt. Here you can take walks along the coast, enjoy the views and the fresh sea air and – if you are lucky – spot ships om their journey through the Great Belt. You will see that the beach in the area changes character the further up the coast you go. The first part of the beach consists of a stone bed and it has a bathing jetty while 1 km further up the coast, you are met by a fine sandy beach offering the op­portu­ni­ty to play in the water and sunbathe. Take a long swim in the blue sea or laze in the sun all day long. The choice is yours.

On the coast of the Little Belt, you will find the pleasant holiday village, Strib. Strib features wonderful beaches with room for sun­bat­hing and waterplay, scenic areas with the op­portu­ni­ty to go hiking on establis­hed trails and a charming town centre with shops, cafés and eateries. With various available fishing grounds in the area along the coast, Strib is a great draw for anglers. The Little Belt is among the best places for angling in Denmark and located right on the coast, the holiday village of Strib presents you with the ideal precon­di­tions for catching dinner of the day directly from the sea.

The cosy town of Arnager is south of Rønne. The town is known for its long, wooden bridge, carefully built to span 188 metres, making it Northern Europe’s longest bridge. At the end of the bridge is an idyllic little harbour erected on poles, with fishers’ houses and colourful boats. Arnager is a gem where you can enjoy stunning beaches and sunsets in pi­c­tu­resque sur­ro­un­dings without anyone bothering you. Boderne is the closest neighbour, and nearby you will also find towns such as Aakirkeby and Rønne. Treat yourself to local food ex­pe­ri­en­ces and spe­ci­a­li­ties when visiting wonderful Bornholm.
