Hindsholm

North of Kerteminde, you have the Hindsholm peninsula with its coastlines sporadically changing between sandy beaches and cliff ledges. From here, you can experience the most beautiful landscape with its rolling hills, luxuriant forests and pleasant small villages. On Hindsholm, you will, among other things, find Viby, one of the best preserved villages in Denmark. You will quickly fall for the charm of the small village with its well-maintained half-timbered houses lining the winding roads. Here you can delve into the local town history. Hindsholm also offers magnificent nature experiences with the opportunity for hiking and bird watching.

Havnsø

Havnsø is a seaport on Northwest Zealand. Here you can enjoy life on the beach, which, with its low water, is perfect for water play for people of all ages. Just under 5 km from Havnsø you will find the protected natural area of Eskebjerg Vesterlyng. Known as Zealand’s largest heath, the natural area offers rolling landscapes with beaches, dunes and shrubs – and, with any luck, you might also see free-range cattle and horses. From Havnsø you can also enjoy the view of Nekselø Bay, and if you look carefully, you can see Nekselø and Sejerø in the distance. Both islands can be reached by ferry from Havnsø.

Hals

Hals is known as the smallest market town in Northern Jutland; despite its small size, however, the town oozes of charm and Danish holiday bliss. In this charming holiday area, you will have the opportunity to play and relax at the water’s edge and to explore the local town life. Near the harbour area, you will find small streets lined with the characteristic red fishermen’s cottages. Back in the day, they were home to the local fishermen and their families. Today, the cottages ooze of new life as they are used for shops, galleries and cafés. Strolling along these streets, you will get a glimpse into the fishing history of Northern Jutland as well as into the contemporary modern town life.

Klitmøller

Colloquially, Klitmøller is known as “Cold Hawaii”. The area by the North Sea is famous for its roaring waves and great wind conditions. Surfers from all over the world travel here to try their strength against the waves. … and you will, of course, find room for sunbathing and relaxation on the wide beaches in Klitmøller to the sound of roaring waves, laughing and squealing. The town centre of the area oozes holiday spirit. Here you will find small cafés and local shops where you can buy anything from local arts and craft to surfing equipment. Klitmøller is part of Thy National Park. This means that you will have the wild, enthralling nature right outside your cottage door.
