Helnæs is a genuine little gem in the South Funen Ar­chipela­go. The peninsula is connected to the mainland via a natural dam and it is close to both the port town of Assens and the market town of Faaborg. When driving across the dam to the small peninsula, you will feel embraced by the out­stan­ding nature. This is where you will find Bro­bak­ker­ne, a large em­bank­ment formed back in the Ice Age and in summer, it is covered with the finest summer flowers. You can also ex­pe­ri­en­ce the specta­cu­lar nature from the water. Jump in a kayak and explore the Little Belt.

Tversted offers genuine holiday spirit with a short distance to wide sandy beaches and close to town life. The holiday town has an abundance of local events and social ini­ti­a­ti­ves. In the summer, various concerts and cultural events are held here and the largest jazz festival in Northern Jutland takes place in these parts every year. You can also immerse yourself in the cultural history of the town and explore the old mills adorning the townscape. When ho­li­daying in Tversted, there is no denying the beautiful sandy beaches and the luxuriant nature sur­ro­un­ding the area. With the fjord and the Faxe Bay nearby, you are sur­ro­un­ded by water and cosy nooks – perfect for outings on foot or by bike. You will find a wealth of scenic routes to explore the landscape and reveal beautiful views. Faxe Kalkbrud is close by, and with its fa­sci­nat­ing colours and shapes it is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit. The area also has old churches, estates, manors and historic half-timbered houses, which give it a lively at­mosp­he­re.
