Bornholm_Aakirkeby

Aakirkeby

The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Aakirkeby offers historical buildings, museums, and cultural attractions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Almindingen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Spend several hours exploring the terrain and the historical and cultural sights here, such as Rytterknægten and Ekkodalen.

Næs-Skarverup Strand

Næs and Skaverup are located below Avnø Fjord. Two scenic gems side by side at the water’s edge with stunning views up through the fjord. Take a holiday home break immersed in nature, with diverse wildlife and varied terrain. The landscape is ideal for hiking and cycling through fields, forests and along the beaches. You can also explore the area from the water, for example in a kayak, or see it all from above if you climb the impressive Gåsetårn (Goose Tower). Vordingborg is just a few kilometres away, a city rich in historic buildings, urban life, shops and cultural attractions.
Ho

Ho

Being blessed with phenomenal plant and wildlife has earned the vast marsh and tidal area around Ho Bay a designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Heading into the bay you will find Ho Village, a true North Sea pearl where you can create your dream holiday with relaxation, nature experiences, activities and great food. You can play golf in stunning scenery, experience nature on horseback or glide through the landscape in a canoe or kayak. You can also indulge in local culture in the city’s artisan workshops or stop by the inn for a delicious dining experience in a lively setting.

Fåborg

In Fåborg, you can enjoy everything good from Southern Funen. A central location means that you can explore the surrounding natural scenery, enjoy life on the beach or stop up and take in the spectacular views of South Funen Archipelago. Fåborg one of the oldest market towns in Denmark and the historic charm and bliss also manifest themselves in the streets and alleys of the town centre. Here you will find old churches and historic buildings, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, adorning the street scene. From Fåborg Harbour, a small ferry makes it possible for you to visit the many islands of Southern Funen, little pearls off the coast.
