Off the east coast of Jutland you will find the islands of Tunø, Endelave and Hjarnø. In the heart of Thy National Park, you will find the charming fishing village of Vorupør. The fishing village offers culture, history and scenic beauty all at once. The wide beaches of Vorupør and the clear North Sea water is an in­vi­ta­tion to water play and re­laxa­tion while the surfers can go up against the wild, roaring waves. Vorupør is proud of its old fishing tradition. Stop by Vorupør Harbour to ex­pe­ri­en­ce how day-to-day life unfolds with the cha­ra­cte­ri­stic blue boats in the ba­ck­gro­und. Here you can buy freshly caught fish directly from the quay or enjoy the fresh treasures from the sea in different eateries around the area.

Borgnæs is a popular summer land area on Ærø. Here you are sur­ro­un­ded by luxuriant nature and specta­cu­lar scenery. From Borgnæs, you have access to the Ar­chipela­go Trail, one of the longest hiking trails in Denmark, taking you across the Ar­chipela­go. Put on your walking shoes and explore the fa­sci­nat­ing nature. You can also jump in the blue sea as Borgnæs gives you access to the finest beaches on Ærø. For one thing, Borgnæs Strand is known to be a par­ti­cu­lar­ly child-friendly beach with its fine sand and clear, shallow water. Around Borgnæs, you will find a number of small villages with old Ærø-style houses and historic sites that bear witness to the history of Ærø.
