Blokhus is one of the most beloved holiday desti­na­tions in Denmark. With its famous sandy beach, dune landsca­pes and cosy town centre, a gathering point for ho­li­day­ma­kers and the local residents, the popular coastal town is enticing. The area is also known for Skul­p­tur­par­ken Blokhus where art and nature fuse in an open-air exhi­bi­tion of wooden scul­p­tu­res. In the beautiful landscape of Northern Funen, you have the summer land area of Tørresø where you can enjoy life on the finest sandy beach stret­ching along the coast. You can also ex­pe­ri­en­ce the natural green sur­ro­un­dings with rolling hillsca­pes, open fields and small woodlands. Explore the area, watch the birds and ex­pe­ri­en­ce the amazing flora that changes from season to season. Just outside of Tørresø, you will find Otterup featuring a range of shops and eateries. And in the summer, you can even enjoy the weekly markets where you can buy local produce and de­li­ca­cies.

Helnæs is a genuine little gem in the South Funen Ar­chipela­go. The peninsula is connected to the mainland via a natural dam and it is close to both the port town of Assens and the market town of Faaborg. When driving across the dam to the small peninsula, you will feel embraced by the out­stan­ding nature. This is where you will find Bro­bak­ker­ne, a large em­bank­ment formed back in the Ice Age and in summer, it is covered with the finest summer flowers. You can also ex­pe­ri­en­ce the specta­cu­lar nature from the water. Jump in a kayak and explore the Little Belt.
