The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Aakirkeby offers hi­sto­ri­cal buildings, museums, and cultural at­tra­ctions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Al­min­din­gen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Følle Strand is a charming holiday area on Djursland near Kalø Vig. Here you can enjoy life on the south-facing sandy beach with its shallow waters. From the beach, you can also enjoy the view of Mols and its mag­ni­fi­cent nature. In Følle Strand you are close to several hi­sto­ri­cal sights. Just 15 minutes by car, is the medieval castle ruin, Kalø Slotsruin, a 700-year-old fortress. Here you can follow the cobbled paths and enjoy nature and the hi­sto­ri­cal sur­ro­un­dings.

South of Skagen, you will find Kan­de­ste­der­ne, sur­ro­un­ded by tranqui­li­ty and pristine rugged nature. The area is known for its stunning dune landsca­pes and wide sandy beaches. This also makes Kan­de­ste­der­ne the perfect place for long walks and sun­bat­hing. Near Kan­de­ste­der­ne, you will find the im­pres­si­ve natural pheno­menon Råbjerg Mile, among the largest shifting dunes in Europe which is why it draws Danish and foreign ho­li­day­ma­kers alike. From Kan­de­ste­der­ne, you also have direct access to Skiveren Strand, a true paradise for kite surfers and nature ent­hu­si­asts. The wide beach is sur­ro­un­ded by dunes and has been awarded the Blue Flag cer­ti­fi­ca­tion.
