So you are within re­la­ti­ve­ly short distance of the well-known and pi­c­tu­resque sur­ro­un­dings of Skagen and the maritime history of Fre­de­riks­havn in the streets and alleys in the town.

The town is bursting with exciting spe­ci­a­li­ty shops, including the famous brewery, the dairy store, hard candy maker, chocolate shop, glassblowers, galleries, and smo­ke­hou­se. There is plenty to explore here and many local food ex­pe­ri­en­ces to savour. Svaneke is buzzing with life, and both the harbour and the town centre are popular gathering points with great ambience. Moving just outside the town centre, in either direction, reveals stunning views of dramatic cliff for­ma­tions, adorable houses, and cosy little beaches.

With the fjord and the Faxe Bay nearby, you are sur­ro­un­ded by water and cosy nooks – perfect for outings on foot or by bike. You will find a wealth of scenic routes to explore the landscape and reveal beautiful views. Faxe Kalkbrud is close by, and with its fa­sci­nat­ing colours and shapes it is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit. The area also has old churches, estates, manors and historic half-timbered houses, which give it a lively at­mosp­he­re.

With its high dunes and clear water, the wide sandy beach is a true Mecca for water lovers and sand castle ent­hu­si­asts. And with its excellent wind con­di­tions, the beach also offers the ideal setting for windsur­fing, kite flying and other water sports acti­vi­ties with the open sea as your play­gro­und. Not far from the beach, you will find Tornby Klit­plan­ta­ge (dune plan­ta­tion), today a protected area where you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce scenic sur­ro­un­dings with rich wildlife and flora as well as several historic at­tra­ctions.
