The lovely railway town is not far from Odense city centre so you have all the at­tra­ctions and cultural gems of the city within easy reach. Here you can visit H.C. Andersen’s childhood home, go on a shopping trip og treat yourself to a ga­stro­no­mi­cal ex­pe­ri­en­ce.

In Mosebølle, north of Præstø Fjord, a holiday home awaits in scenic sur­ro­un­dings with lots of peace and quiet for con­tem­p­la­tion. With the fjord and the Faxe Bay nearby, you are sur­ro­un­ded by water and cosy nooks – perfect for outings on foot or by bike. You will find a wealth of scenic routes to explore the landscape and reveal beautiful views. Faxe Kalkbrud is close by, and with its fa­sci­nat­ing colours and shapes it is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit. The area also has old churches, estates, manors and historic half-timbered houses, which give it a lively at­mosp­he­re.

You will find water no matter where you look, as well as child-friendly sandy beaches and wonderful holiday homes where you can relax with the family. Southern Als offers plenty of scenic nature areas. You can visit the Kegnæs peninsula, which is connected to Als via a spit of land. In summer, you can enjoy the view from the top of Kegnæs Ligh­t­hou­se (Kegnæs Fyr) – and if the weather is clear, you can see all the way to Germany and the South Funen ar­chipela­go.
