Melby offers pi­c­tu­resque landsca­pes that are perfect to explore on foot or by bike. Also make sure to visit Melby Overdrev, which with its open heaths, purple heather fields and in­cre­dib­le expanses offers lots of ad­ven­tu­res and hours of fun. Liseleje Beach is also just a stone’s throw away, and this part of the beach is won­der­ful­ly peaceful. Here you can spend hours swimming in the quiet waters, playing games on the beach, reading good books and enjoying beautiful sunsets. On the east-facing side of Rømø is cosy Lakolk, which is the oldest holiday home area on the island. Settle down in one of the eateries for a taste of Rømø or visit one of the specialty shops where you can buy local de­li­ca­cies. Lakolk is located close to Rømø Bilstrand, where you can take the car all the way down to the water's edge. This way, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the entire mile-long coastline, in­cre­dib­le plains and beautiful views. Finally, the area is ideal for biking – and hiking, or you can explore it on horseback or surfboard.

Spend your holiday home break in the tranqui­li­ty of the forest under the forest canopy in Ulvshale Skov. This lush, dense area is untouched, with only the paths cleared for hiking. This means that nature and wildlife are wild and secluded, so you might get lucky and see rare birds and other animals, or ex­pe­ri­en­ce wild orchids and specta­cu­lar coastal en­viron­ments close by. A stone’s throw away is Ulvshale Strand, one of Møn’s best beaches. The cosy little island of Nyord is just off the coast and is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit, while Møns Klint is not far.

Explore local places, like Fanefjord Skov, for lovely cycling and hiking routes that go along the coast past some of the island’s beautiful sandy beaches. You might get lucky and find ancient remains like fossils and rare stones. The area is also known for its historic buildings and memorials, such as the old church with its specta­cu­lar frescoes, which attracts visitors from near and far.
