Ebeltoft is a small town frozen in time, with crooked half-timbered houses and narrow, cobbled streets. And just a short distance from the coast, you have several child-friendly beaches within easy reach. Along the coasts there is also ample op­portu­ni­ty for water sports and angling. Here you can also visit the historic frigate, Jylland. Ebeltoft is sur­ro­un­ded by Djursland’s beautiful natural areas and well-known at­tra­ctions. A village at­mosp­he­re and the bliss of Southern Funen is probably what make Faldsled famous and no wonder. In the cobbled streets and alleys of the town, you can see well-preserved half-timbered houses that bear witness of the days before the dawn of time. And this little village is hiding a genuine ga­stro­no­mic gem. This is home to the famous gourmet re­stau­rant, Falsled Kro. The small village is sur­ro­un­ded by open co­un­trysi­de and rolling fields as far as the eye can see. Explore the many scenic routes of the area winding through the co­un­trysi­de and along the coast and get close to the nature of Southern Funen.

The area is divided into Langdal, Søn­der­strand and Landsende and offers lush and rich nature with plan­ta­tions, forests, heathers and dunes. A stone’s throw from here you will find Søn­der­stran­den, one of Rømø’s gems with its wide, desert-like sand surface that invites you to spend wonderful days by the water. Try, for example, beach sailing, kite buggying or hop on a surfboard. The beach is also perfect for relaxing walks, where you can enjoy the mag­ni­fi­cent view and maybe even spot seals on the coast. Finally, dive into the area’s art scene and visit some of the small galleries and workshops.

The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Aakirkeby offers hi­sto­ri­cal buildings, museums, and cultural at­tra­ctions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Al­min­din­gen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Spend several hours exploring the terrain and the hi­sto­ri­cal and cultural sights here, such as Ryt­ter­k­næg­ten and Ekkodalen.
