Off the east coast of Jutland you will find the islands of Tunø, Endelave and Hjarnø. Tunø and Endelave are known for their scenic sur­ro­un­dings with hiking trails that guide you through varied terrain with dense forests, open landsca­pes and coast­li­nes as far as the eye can see. Here you can explore the local plant and wildlife. Hjarnø is closer to the mainland and is a testament to the Viking Age, when the island was once home to the old Nordic seafarers. Sejerø is a 12 km long island in Kattegat. The island is known as Kattegat’s sunshine island – and for good reason. Sejerø is one of the sunniest places in Denmark. Here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the shoreline. The nature of the island is diverse and offers eve­ryt­hing from beautiful sandy beaches and wide-open spaces to rolling hills and fields. Sejerø is espe­ci­al­ly known for its many burial mounds that date back to the Bronze Age. A total of 30 burial mounds have been di­scove­red on the island, and you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce them via several footpaths that take you around the landscape.

As a quiet and idyllic haven, Lodberg Hede is located between Stadil Fjord, West Stadil Fjord and the North Sea, The en­viron­ment around the fjords, with small natural harbours, jetties and fire pits creates a special at­mosp­he­re. Meanwhile, on the other side, you can hear the roar of the North Sea. The nature, which is made up of heaths, plan­ta­tions, forest areas and dunes, is ideal for exploring on foot or by bike, but you can also seek out adventure at sea in a canoe or kayak. Finally, visit the at­mosp­he­ric and charming summer town of Søndervig, just a stone’s throw away.
