Charming Snogebæk is south of Balka, with shops, eateries, a smo­ke­hou­se, and a cosy harbour setting. Heading north, you’ll encounter one of the island’s towns, Nexø, where you’ll find historic buildings, museums, cultural landmarks, local arts and crafts, and more.

From Egense, you have direct access to the clear and calm waters of the Limfjord. The perfect bathing con­di­tions for families and water ent­hu­si­asts. The area is par­ti­cu­lar­ly known for its child-friendly beach, its shallow water and gentle waves creating safe bathing con­di­tions for the youngest family members. In the area around Egense, you will find various trail systems leading you to luxuriant nature and amazing wildlife. So here you are better off putting on your best hiking boots or jumping on your bicycle. If thrills, high-pitched screaming and a need for speed are your thing, you are in luck as Fårup Summer Park is just a short drive away.

In the southern part of Rømø, you will find Havneby, a holiday paradise sur­ro­un­ded by mag­ni­fi­cent nature. Here you can go sailing on the Wadden Sea or explore the coastal areas on foot, horseback or by bike. There are plenty of lovely trails and routes to explore the fa­sci­nat­ing terrain and enjoy beautiful views. The harbour is a testament to proud fishing tra­di­tions, and here you will see im­pres­si­ve boats swaying and waiting for the next departure. You can also grab a bite to eat at the inn or one of the other eateries to get an authentic taste of Rømø – for example, after a game of tennis or an afternoon of golf.
