In Fåborg, you can enjoy eve­ryt­hing good from Southern Funen. Fåborg one of the oldest market towns in Denmark and the historic charm and bliss also manifest them­sel­ves in the streets and alleys of the town centre. Here you will find old churches and historic buildings, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, adorning the street scene. From Fåborg Harbour, a small ferry makes it possible for you to visit the many islands of Southern Funen, little pearls off the coast.

Just 15 km from Grenaa is the holiday area, Gjerrild Nord­s­trand. The beach has been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, and for good reason. Here you can enjoy the clear waters, fine sand and calm sur­ro­un­dings. Perfect for splashing, relaxing and playing. The area is close to the town of Gjerrild and the natural pheno­menon of Gjerrild Klint, which is a 35 metre high lime cliff. From here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the im­pres­si­ve views and, if you are into angling, you can try your luck with a fishing rod. In this area you will find several paths and trails that connect Gjerrild and Bønnerup. Put on your hiking shoes and explore nature.
