A little inland, sur­ro­un­ded by tall trees and lush forest areas, you will find the quaint town of Houstrup. In the most northerly part of Northern Jutland, you will find the cosy holiday town of Hulsig. You will quickly discover that Hulsig is sur­ro­un­ded by specta­cu­lar nature. As a matter of fact, you will pra­cti­cal­ly find it in your back garden. Natural phenomena such as Råbjerg Mile – the largest shifting dune in the Nordic countries – and the luxuriant Skagen Klit­plan­ta­ge are just a short drive from the small holiday town. From Hulsig, you will also have direct access to a number of the beautiful beaches in Northern Jutland. You can enjoy the calm water and wide beaches by Kattegat or jump into the wild waves of the North Sea for thrills and exci­te­ment.

In Sjællands Odde you will find unique nature and an authentic harbour en­viron­ment. Take a trip to Odden Harbour, where the air is full of the smell of freshly smoked fish from the iconic smo­ke­hou­se designed by Arne Jacobsen, while enjoying the sight of fishing boats and fresh fish. Organic farm shops offer local de­li­ca­cies, while Ørnberg Vin creates award-winning white wines. Enjoy a stroll on the pier to feel refreshed by the sea spray and see yachts, or take a bike ride out to Gniben to ex­pe­ri­en­ce pristine nature and military history. Also remember to visit Brøns Odde, a shipwreck from 1948, which is about 80 metres from the coast.

On the east-facing side of Rømø is cosy Lakolk, which is the oldest holiday home area on the island. Here you will find an at­mosp­he­ric urban en­viron­ment with cafes, shops, galleries and much more. Settle down in one of the eateries for a taste of Rømø or visit one of the specialty shops where you can buy local de­li­ca­cies. Lakolk is located close to Rømø Bilstrand, where you can take the car all the way down to the water's edge. This way, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the entire mile-long coastline, in­cre­dib­le plains and beautiful views. Finally, the area is ideal for biking – and hiking, or you can explore it on horseback or surfboard.
