Skellet is a charming summer land area on the south coast of the Limfjord. Ærøs­kø­bing is known as the pearl of Ærø and it is one of the best preserved market towns in Denmark. The winding streets, colourful houses and fine history of the town attract visitors from near and far. As you walk around the cobbled streets in the town, you will quickly find yourself back in time. Here you can enjoy the sights and be fa­sci­na­ted by the many old and well-preserved buildings dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. In the town, you can visit local shops, take part in artisan markets and take a well-deserved break in one of several homely cafés, maybe sampling local de­li­ca­cies.

The Great Belt Coast has one of Denmark’s most beautiful coast­li­nes. From north to south, you will find lovely beaches with fine sandy seafloors and clear water. There are no large waves or un­dercur­rents, making it safe for even the youngest ho­li­day­ma­kers to play by the water under su­per­vi­sion. The area attracts many water sports ent­hu­si­asts, as there is ample op­portu­ni­ty to explore on the water. Along the coast you will find several hiking trails where you can enjoy the views and the fresh sea breeze. You can also take a break at one of the area’s con­ve­ni­ent­ly located cafés and enjoy a well-deserved re­fres­h­ment.
