Holidaying in a cottage during spring in Denmark is simply fantastic. You can get close to nature and breathe in the familiar scent of blooming flowers.
When holidaying in a summer cottage at Fyns Hoved, you will be close to the spectacular nature of Funen. The area is a draw for nature enthusiasts wanting to explore the special wildlife and flora that is unfolding here on the most northern tip of Hindsholm. From the top of Fyns Hoved, you can experience a fascinating and contrasted landscape; here you can enjoy the views of calm salt marshes, rolling hills and waterholes while the sea and its wild waves crashes against the cliffs.
Colloquially, Mariager Fjord is known as the most beautiful fjord in Denmark and maybe not without reason. Here you can let yourself be fascinated by the glassy water, the luxuriant forests and open countryside. You can experience the fjord from the water by hiring a kayak or going on a guided sail. And if you are into hiking, you can find various green trails to explore. Mariager is known as the “Town of Roses” as it is adorned with a wide range of roses planted in the streets and alleys in the town. In and around Mariager, you will find a number of museums and cultural-historical attractions, all of which bear witness to the history of the area.
Tårup Strand is a summer land area on the eastern coast of Funen, surrounded by a hillscape and overlooking the clear water of the Great Belt. Here you can take walks along the coast, enjoy the views and the fresh sea air and – if you are lucky – spot ships om their journey through the Great Belt. You will see that the beach in the area changes character the further up the coast you go. The first part of the beach consists of a stone bed and it has a bathing jetty while 1 km further up the coast, you are met by a fine sandy beach offering the opportunity to play in the water and sunbathe. Take a long swim in the blue sea or laze in the sun all day long. The choice is yours.
