In Ommel, you will im­me­di­a­te­ly get a sense of the charm and tranqui­li­ty of island life. The gathering point for local residents and ho­li­day­ma­kers in the area is un­doub­ted­ly Ommel Harbour; from here you can enjoy looking at the boats bobbing gently in the water. In con­ti­nu­a­tion of the harbour, you will find the most wonderful sandy beach, a small tranquil gem in the middle of it all. Snogebæk is located on the southern coast of Bornholm with beautiful Balka Beach and Dueodde as its closest neig­h­bours—some of the island’s best beaches. The town has plenty to offer, including a smo­ke­hou­se where you can sit down and enjoy a meal or buy fresh produce to bring home. You can also visit the cosy shops, which sell local arts and crafts and de­li­ca­cies, or take a stroll along in the harbour to see colourful fishing boats. With several child-friendly sandy beaches stret­ching from Vig Lyng to Stenstrup Lyng, and exciting excur­sions, Sejerø Bugt is known to be a true gem for families with children. Dive into history by visiting the me­ga­lit­hic tomb in Stenstrup, a well-preserved tomb from ancient times, or explore the unique sand reefs of the Korevler, where you might see grazing Galloway cattle. The area also offers wonderful music ex­pe­ri­en­ces and local eateries, espe­ci­al­ly during the summer months. Amstrup and Sondrup are two holiday home areas in East Jutland with views of Horsens Fjord. Here you will find natural sur­ro­un­dings with stunning landsca­pes and areas with rolling hills and forests. For example, explore Uldrup Bakker, where several winding trails in the hilly landscape guide your way. From both holiday home areas you are a short distance from Sondrup Strand, a small oasis by Horsens Fjord. The beach has a jetty from which you can go for a dip in the lovely water. You will find that the beach is somewhat hidden, so you can enjoy life com­ple­te­ly un­dis­tur­bed, without all the crowds and noise.
