Bornholm_Allinge

Allinge

On the north coast, the landscape is dramatic, and the views are breathtaking—Allinge is no exception. The town borders the fascinating area around Hammeren, offering some of Denmark’s most spectacular natural environments. Allinge harbour is a gathering point with a great atmosphere offering cafés, ice cream shops, eateries, and shops. The town is characterised by half-timbered houses in every colour, narrow streets, and cosy squares. You can explore small, cosy oases. Allinge also offers art and culture in various forms and is home to venues, creative workshops, and the annual jazz festival.

Hou

On the northern tip of Langeland, you will find Hou. Hou is an extremely quiet area and here you are away from the hectic working day and can just sit back and enjoy the chirping of birds and the roar of the waves. With its coastline and luxuriant nature, Hou is the ideal holiday destination for those looking for nature outings and explorations. Here you can take long walks or jump on a bike and enjoy the fresh air. If you are interested in history, please visit Hou Lighthouse, a true landmark of the area, as it played an important role in ship navigation around the northern tip of the island back in the late 1800s.
Lolland-Falster_Gedesby

Gedesby

A stone’s throw from Denmark’s southernmost point sits Gedesby, which offers authentic village vibes and idyllic scenery. In and around the town you will find beautiful old houses, thatched farmhouses and cosy green landscapes. The church, which dates back to the 1300s, is nestled in the centre of the town surrounded by the quaint main street and beautiful old mill. The area plays an important role in Denmark’s history so there is a lot of local folklore and tales to explore. The nature here is fantastic, with plantations, hiking trails and forests – and not least Gedesby Beach, which stretches as far as the eye can see.
