Lyngså is a historic agro-town dating back to the 14th century. The small agro-town has just under 300 citizens and it oozes tranqui­li­ty, rural bliss and a sense that everybody knows everybody. In Fåborg, you can enjoy eve­ryt­hing good from Southern Funen. A central location means that you can explore the sur­ro­un­ding natural scenery, enjoy life on the beach or stop up and take in the specta­cu­lar views of South Funen Ar­chipela­go. Fåborg one of the oldest market towns in Denmark and the historic charm and bliss also manifest them­sel­ves in the streets and alleys of the town centre. Here you will find old churches and historic buildings, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, adorning the street scene. From Fåborg Harbour, a small ferry makes it possible for you to visit the many islands of Southern Funen, little pearls off the coast.

Saksild Strand is a popular holiday home area just outside the town of Saksild. The area is par­ti­cu­lar­ly well-known for its beautiful beach of the same name. Indeed, the beach is actually referred to as one of East Jutland’s best beaches. Here there is white sand and calm waters without large waves and un­dercur­rents. And of course, the beach has also been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for such fine swimming con­di­tions. In and around the holiday home area you will find several good eateries and a nearby ice cream house known for its great ice cream. From Saksild Strand you have a 20-minute drive to Aarhus, while you can get to Odder in 10 minutes.

Rågeleje is truly special. It is where dramatic dune landsca­pes, in­cre­dib­le plains and endless white sandy beaches meet. The coastline rises ma­jesti­cal­ly above the water level, forming a pi­c­tu­resque landscape adorned by candy-striped bathing huts con­ve­ni­ent­ly located along the beach – one of the town’s landmarks. Close to Rågeleje is the protected nature area He­at­her­hill, ideal for exploring on foot or by bike. Here you can really sense how the passage of time has shaped the landscape. If you continue west, you will reach Tisvil­de­le­je, which offers a wealth of eateries and lively at­mosp­he­re.
