The charming summer resort of Skagen is known for its famous painters among other things. A cultural legacy which the town residents are in­cre­di­bly proud of and cherish. Something you will quickly sense when walking around the streets and alleys in the town. Here you will find a number of paintings and well-known museums such as Skagens Museum. The beaches of the town are perfect for sun­bat­hing and water play. The beaches feature white fine sand and clear water. Col­loqui­al­ly, Klit­møl­ler is known as “Cold Hawaii”. The area by the North Sea is famous for its roaring waves and great wind con­di­tions. Surfers from all over the world travel here to try their strength against the waves. … and you will, of course, find room for sun­bat­hing and re­laxa­tion on the wide beaches in Klit­møl­ler to the sound of roaring waves, laughing and squealing. The town centre of the area oozes holiday spirit. Here you will find small cafés and local shops where you can buy anything from local arts and craft to surfing equipment. Klit­møl­ler is part of Thy National Park. This means that you will have the wild, ent­hral­ling nature right outside your cottage door.

South of Aarhus you will find the holiday home area, Mariendal Strand. Near the area is the beach, which is sur­ro­un­ded by natural sur­ro­un­dings and has a cosy fire pit. Here you can enjoy views of Aarhus Bay while roasting mars­h­mal­lows over an open fire with your feet planted in the fine sand. If you like biking, you can cycle towards Aarhus to the forests of Moesgaard and Mar­se­lis­borg, which stretch all the way down to the coast. And when visiting this area, you might want to visit the Moesgaard Museum, which has several exhi­bi­tions of ar­cha­e­o­lo­gi­cal finds, including the Grauballe Man, who - probably - is the world’s most well-preserved bog body.
