When ho­li­daying in Skiveren, you will be surround by beautiful, protected nature and gorgeous co­un­trysi­de. On the southern part of Ærø, you will find the small village of Dunkær. Here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce quiet nature and real rural bliss. And in the town, you will also find Dunkær Mill that bear witness to the history of the village and the active agri­cul­tu­re of former times. Just 4 km from the village, you have Risemark Strand on the southern coast of Ærø for you to enjoy a sandy beach and lapping waves. The beach is extremely child-friendly with its shallow water and it should be noted that the beach has a de­sig­na­ted area for naturists.

Svendborg is known as the most beautiful market town of Southern Funen. Ori­gi­nal­ly an old seafaring town, it offers a really special maritime at­mosp­he­re with seaviews and a harbour en­viron­ment buzzing with life. The old seafaring town oozes historic charm. You ex­pe­ri­en­ce the history of Southern Funen up close by paying the Latin Quarter, the oldest part of Svendborg, a visit. In the Latin Quarter, you can visit an abundance of stores and small local shops and sample local de­li­ca­cies in the re­stau­rants and cafés of the area. Svendborg town centre is also the hub of various musical events all year round, creating life in the streets to a degree.
