Welcoming holiday homes in Denmark

Discover beautiful Vester Husby, where sprawling sandy beaches, lush dune landsca­pes and charming thatched houses make an idyllic backdrop for a holiday home break. Havnsø is a seaport on Northwest Zealand. Here you can enjoy life on the beach, which, with its low water, is perfect for water play for people of all ages. Just under 5 km from Havnsø you will find the protected natural area of Eskebjerg Ve­ster­lyng. Known as Zealand’s largest heath, the natural area offers rolling landsca­pes with beaches, dunes and shrubs – and, with any luck, you might also see free-range cattle and horses. From Havnsø you can also enjoy the view of Nekselø Bay, and if you look carefully, you can see Nekselø and Sejerø in the distance. Both islands can be reached by ferry from Havnsø.

Borgnæs is a popular summer land area on Ærø. Here you are sur­ro­un­ded by luxuriant nature and specta­cu­lar scenery. From Borgnæs, you have access to the Ar­chipela­go Trail, one of the longest hiking trails in Denmark, taking you across the Ar­chipela­go. Put on your walking shoes and explore the fa­sci­nat­ing nature. You can also jump in the blue sea as Borgnæs gives you access to the finest beaches on Ærø. For one thing, Borgnæs Strand is known to be a par­ti­cu­lar­ly child-friendly beach with its fine sand and clear, shallow water. Around Borgnæs, you will find a number of small villages with old Ærø-style houses and historic sites that bear witness to the history of Ærø.

Slet­te­strand gives you rugged nature at the North Sea. Here there is no denying the amazing wide sandy beach, known for its excellent beach bathing and this is why it has been awarded the Blue Flag. The area is espe­ci­al­ly known for its pre­ser­va­tion of the old Danish fishing tradition. And as a result, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce true North Sea bliss with local coastal fishermen hauling their boats up on land every day. With its beautiful sur­ro­un­dings full of nature, Slet­te­strand is also the perfect holiday desti­na­tion for those looking for an active holiday, for example with their mountain bikes, or trying their hands on all kinds of acti­vi­ties on the water.
