Horne Som­mer­land is a popular summer land area on Southern Funen. The region is sur­ro­un­ded by beautiful green nature with open co­un­trysi­de and idyllic coast­li­nes. Around these parts, you will have a range of outdoor acti­vi­ties right at your fin­ger­tips. Among other things, coastal hiking trails, bicycle tracks for you to explore the local wildlife and flora that are par­ti­cu­lar­ly cha­ra­cte­ri­stic of the sur­ro­un­ding on Southern Funen. Near the summer land area, you will also find the port town of Bøjden and from here, you can reach Als directly by ferry.

The idyllic and scenic area around Arresø offers plenty of hiking and cycling routes, and Arresø Canal takes you directly to the alluring landscape of Roskilde Fjord. Close to Evetofte are museums, galleries and several of North Zealand’s beautiful castles, where you can immerse yourself in the treasures of the past. In the sur­ro­un­ding towns you will also find a wide range of shops, eateries, cosy harbour en­viron­ments and lovely beaches.

Melby offers pi­c­tu­resque landsca­pes that are perfect to explore on foot or by bike. Also make sure to visit Melby Overdrev, which with its open heaths, purple heather fields and in­cre­dib­le expanses offers lots of ad­ven­tu­res and hours of fun. Liseleje Beach is also just a stone’s throw away, and this part of the beach is won­der­ful­ly peaceful. Here you can spend hours swimming in the quiet waters, playing games on the beach, reading good books and enjoying beautiful sunsets. You can also head into the town of Liseleje, where you will find cosy eateries, ice cream stalls, shops and so much more.
