Vordingborg

Spend an exciting holiday home break in Vordingborg, rich in historical buildings, city life, nature and cultural attractions. Beautifully surrounded by sea and nature, the majestic city welcomes you. The old town centre has cobbled streets and old houses, and is a lively and charming gathering place with plenty of shops and city life. Experience the area from above, if you pay a visit to the famous Gåsetårn (Goose Tower), the remains of the old Vordingborg Castle. Visit the city’s exciting museums, which give you an insight into Vordingborg’s history and important place in Danish history.

Saltum

Colloquially, Saltum is known as the “Alps of Jammerbugten” and not without reason! With the open spaces and luxuriant green fields, Saltum stands out from the other areas in the holiday landscape. If you are lucky, you may even see grazing animals on the hills – like a scene from All Creatures Great and Small. The town of Saltum is especially popular for its long-standing tradition of handmade arts and craft in textile and ceramics. So do not miss out on a visit to the local town artisan to find a unique and memorable souvenir to take home.

Svendborg

Svendborg is known as the most beautiful market town of Southern Funen. Originally an old seafaring town, it offers a really special maritime atmosphere with seaviews and a harbour environment buzzing with life. The old seafaring town oozes historic charm. You experience the history of Southern Funen up close by paying the Latin Quarter, the oldest part of Svendborg, a visit. In the Latin Quarter, you can visit an abundance of stores and small local shops and sample local delicacies in the restaurants and cafés of the area. Svendborg town centre is also the hub of various musical events all year round, creating life in the streets to a degree.

Hou

On the northern tip of Langeland, you will find Hou. Hou is an extremely quiet area and here you are away from the hectic working day and can just sit back and enjoy the chirping of birds and the roar of the waves. With its coastline and luxuriant nature, Hou is the ideal holiday destination for those looking for nature outings and explorations. Here you can take long walks or jump on a bike and enjoy the fresh air. If you are interested in history, please visit Hou Lighthouse, a true landmark of the area, as it played an important role in ship navigation around the northern tip of the island back in the late 1800s.
