Lønstrup is a cosy fishing village where time appears to stop when you let yourself become ent­hral­led by the charming summer villas from the 1920s, popping up here and there the hills around the town. Spend your holiday at beautiful Faxe Ladeplads, which offers lovely beaches, a cosy harbour, beautiful natural areas and plenty of cultural ex­pe­ri­en­ces. The area houses several castles, manors, estates and old half-timbered houses, which create an idyllic backdrop and the perfect setting for a holiday home. The port, with its yachts and fishing boats, is an evocative gathering point brimming with life. Wander down to the pier to the sound of the bells atop the boat masts bells and enjoy the pi­c­tu­resque scenery. And don’t miss out on a trip to specta­cu­lar Faxe Kalkbrud, which is located just a few ki­lo­metres away.

In the southern part of Rømø, you will find Havneby, a holiday paradise sur­ro­un­ded by mag­ni­fi­cent nature. Here you can go sailing on the Wadden Sea or explore the coastal areas on foot, horseback or by bike. There are plenty of lovely trails and routes to explore the fa­sci­nat­ing terrain and enjoy beautiful views. The harbour is a testament to proud fishing tra­di­tions, and here you will see im­pres­si­ve boats swaying and waiting for the next departure. You can also grab a bite to eat at the inn or one of the other eateries to get an authentic taste of Rømø – for example, after a game of tennis or an afternoon of golf.

Centrally located on Langeland, you will find the charming village Tranekær – a place with a lot of history. Tranekær is espe­ci­al­ly famous for Tranekær Castle and the castle park, TICKON – Tranekær In­ter­na­tio­nal Centre for Art and Nature where you can see works of art build from organic materials. The castle park is worth a visit re­gard­less the time of year. The charming village is sur­ro­un­ded by forests and coast­li­nes, the perfect in­vi­ta­tion to go cycling and hiking. Here you can explore the wildlife and flora of the area. While out, you may come across Tranekær Castle Mill that bear witness to the rich history of the area and the agri­cul­tu­ral tra­di­tions of Langeland.
