Næs and Skaverup are located below Avnø Fjord. Two scenic gems side by side at the water’s edge with stunning views up through the fjord. Take a holiday home break immersed in nature, with diverse wildlife and varied terrain. The landscape is ideal for hiking and cycling through fields, forests and along the beaches. You can also explore the area from the water, for example in a kayak, or see it all from above if you climb the im­pres­si­ve Gåsetårn (Goose Tower). Vor­ding­borg is just a few ki­lo­metres away, a city rich in historic buildings, urban life, shops and cultural at­tra­ctions.

On the northern coast of Djursland you will find the holiday town of Fjellerup Strand. Here you can enjoy life by the wide, child-friendly coastline with fine-grained sand and shallow waters. These sur­ro­un­dings are perfect for sun­bat­hing, play and re­laxa­tion. Near the small holiday town you will find Meilgaard Gods, which is among Denmark’s oldest manor houses. Admire the stunning old castle building and visit the adjacent castle park. The estate is sur­ro­un­ded by dense forest - Meilgaard Skov - where you can go hiking and biking and explore the natural sur­ro­un­dings. From Fjellerup Strand you have only 20 minutes by car to Djurs Som­mer­land amusement park.

With several child-friendly sandy beaches stret­ching from Vig Lyng to Stenstrup Lyng, and exciting excur­sions, Sejerø Bugt is known to be a true gem for families with children. Dive into history by visiting the me­ga­lit­hic tomb in Stenstrup, a well-preserved tomb from ancient times, or explore the unique sand reefs of the Korevler, where you might see grazing Galloway cattle. The area also offers wonderful music ex­pe­ri­en­ces and local eateries, espe­ci­al­ly during the summer months. Spend your summer break in a holiday home in the seaport of Tejn with its maritime at­mosp­he­re featuring a large harbour with active fishing, a boatyard, and cutters of all colours and sizes. Tejn is home to artists and other creative souls, so there are plenty of local creations to explore, such as ceramics and paintings, in addition to local food ex­pe­ri­en­ces. There are several historic churches and buildings nearby, including one of the island’s famous round churches. Tejn is not far from Ham­mers­hus and the stunning natural en­viron­ment around Ham­mer­knu­den, which is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit.
