The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Aakirkeby offers hi­sto­ri­cal buildings, museums, and cultural at­tra­ctions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Al­min­din­gen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Spend several hours exploring the terrain and the hi­sto­ri­cal and cultural sights here, such as Ryt­ter­k­næg­ten and Ekkodalen.

With Husby Klit­plan­ta­ge as a neighbour and the North Sea and Nissum Fjord a stone’s throw away, Sønder Fjand is the perfect base for a holiday home break in scenic sur­ro­un­dings. There are plenty of good hiking and cycling routes weaving their way through the fa­sci­nat­ing landscape, as well as pine forests, dune landsca­pes, heaths and meadows. You can also cast your fishing line and enjoy a quiet day of fishing on the banks of the fjord to the sound of the birds chirping. Finally, if you love the water, there is ample op­portu­ni­ty to try out different water sports or enjoy the wide, mile-long sandy beaches.

Spend your holiday home break in scenic Vrist, a stone’s throw from the North Sea and close to idyllic lakes, streams and fjords. The terrain is varied and the nature diverse, and you will find many cosy nooks where you can enjoy the sunset un­dis­tur­bed.
