Spend your holiday in the tranquil forest with the chirping of songbirds and the scent of conifers. Enjoy walks in Asserbo Plan­ta­tion, where the trees stand tall and proud and create an amazing at­mosp­he­re. Here you will also find heaths and areas covered in heather, and many good hiking and cycling paths that weave their way through this varied landscape. At the end of the plan­ta­tion, where the forest thins and the dunes begin, you will find the lovely Liseleje Beach. This part of the beach is secluded and peaceful. The town of Liseleje is also a stone’s throw away, with cosy eateries, shops and urban life.

The area is divided into Langdal, Søn­der­strand and Landsende and offers lush and rich nature with plan­ta­tions, forests, heathers and dunes. A stone’s throw from here you will find Søn­der­stran­den, one of Rømø’s gems with its wide, desert-like sand surface that invites you to spend wonderful days by the water. Try, for example, beach sailing, kite buggying or hop on a surfboard. The beach is also perfect for relaxing walks, where you can enjoy the mag­ni­fi­cent view and maybe even spot seals on the coast. Finally, dive into the area’s art scene and visit some of the small galleries and workshops.

With several child-friendly sandy beaches stret­ching from Vig Lyng to Stenstrup Lyng, and exciting excur­sions, Sejerø Bugt is known to be a true gem for families with children. Dive into history by visiting the me­ga­lit­hic tomb in Stenstrup, a well-preserved tomb from ancient times, or explore the unique sand reefs of the Korevler, where you might see grazing Galloway cattle.
