In the beautiful landscape of Northern Funen, you have the summer land area of Tørresø where you can enjoy life on the finest sandy beach stret­ching along the coast. Here, the coast rises dra­ma­ti­cal­ly above the water level. On the outer tip is Spod­s­b­jerg Ligh­t­hou­se, and just below is Knud Rasmussen’s house, which is now a museum. Borgnæs is a popular summer land area on Ærø. Here you are sur­ro­un­ded by luxuriant nature and specta­cu­lar scenery. From Borgnæs, you have access to the Ar­chipela­go Trail, one of the longest hiking trails in Denmark, taking you across the Ar­chipela­go. Put on your walking shoes and explore the fa­sci­nat­ing nature. You can also jump in the blue sea as Borgnæs gives you access to the finest beaches on Ærø. For one thing, Borgnæs Strand is known to be a par­ti­cu­lar­ly child-friendly beach with its fine sand and clear, shallow water. Around Borgnæs, you will find a number of small villages with old Ærø-style houses and historic sites that bear witness to the history of Ærø.
