Vrist

Vrist

Spend your holiday home break in scenic Vrist, a stone’s throw from the North Sea and close to idyllic lakes, streams and fjords. The terrain is varied and the nature diverse, and you will find many cosy nooks where you can enjoy the sunset undisturbed. Hop on a bike or put on your hiking shoes and explore the area on land, or grab a surfboard, paddle board or kayak and have fun in the water. You can design the holiday of your dreams; the only limit is your imagination. Spice things up with some culture, and visit the local area’s galleries, museums and historical landmarks.

Marstal

Marstal is the largest town on Ærø with a proud maritime history which is why the town is also known as “Skipper Town” colloquially. This sense of pride particularly manifests itself in the local town life. The harbour is a well-known gathering place for townspeople and holidaymakers, and the maritime museum is one of the major attractions in the area. Here you can delve into the maritime history of the town and enjoy exhibitions on the shipping trade. The town centre features a lovely shopping street and here you can shop to your heart’s content and sample local delicacies. And a mere stone’s throw from Marstal, you will find Eriks Hale Strand overlooking some of the colourful beach huts on the island.

Tejn

Spend your summer break in a holiday home in the seaport of Tejn with its maritime atmosphere featuring a large harbour with active fishing, a boatyard, and cutters of all colours and sizes. Tejn is home to artists and other creative souls, so there are plenty of local creations to explore, such as ceramics and paintings, in addition to local food experiences. There are several historic churches and buildings nearby, including one of the island’s famous round churches. Tejn is not far from Hammershus and the stunning natural environment around Hammerknuden, which is definitely worth a visit.

Løgstør

Løgstør, the city of mussels, with its tranquility and natural beauty, offers a unique maritime atmosphere and is the centre of cultural highlights such as KanalJazz, which brings music, festivities and community to the harbour. Famous for its mussels, the city is host to The Harvest of Mussels Festival and the Mussels Festival, which kick-start this year’s festivities. You can also try out a seal safari from Livøfergen, relax on the car-free island of Livø, or if you want to shop, visit Løgstør, which is a short 10-minute drive from the holiday homes at Lendrup and Rønbjerg. The area is also a mecca for golfers with many golf courses within a short distance.
