The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Aakirkeby offers hi­sto­ri­cal buildings, museums, and cultural at­tra­ctions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Al­min­din­gen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Spend several hours exploring the terrain and the hi­sto­ri­cal and cultural sights here, such as Ryt­ter­k­næg­ten and Ekkodalen.

Virksund by the Limfjord is full of charm with its maritime history and scenic sur­ro­un­dings. This former Viking sett­le­ment is perfect for modern ad­ven­tu­rers who can catch crab, enjoy the food at the harbour café, and/or swim in the clear, re­fres­hing waters. The area is rich in history and offers acti­vi­ties such as sailing in the protected fjord and fishing in both the fjord and the sur­ro­un­ding rivers.
