Near Mid­del­fart, you have the small village of Føns. The locals know Føns as the natural gem of western Funen. And not unju­sti­fied. The cosy town of Arnager is south of Rønne. The town is known for its long, wooden bridge, carefully built to span 188 metres, making it Northern Europe’s longest bridge. At the end of the bridge is an idyllic little harbour erected on poles, with fishers’ houses and colourful boats. Arnager is a gem where you can enjoy stunning beaches and sunsets in pi­c­tu­resque sur­ro­un­dings without anyone bothering you. Boderne is the closest neighbour, and nearby you will also find towns such as Aakirkeby and Rønne. Treat yourself to local food ex­pe­ri­en­ces and spe­ci­a­li­ties when visiting wonderful Bornholm.

Rønne is the first town you come to when you arrive on lovely Bornholm. Beautiful St Nicholas Church is ma­jesti­cal­ly located in a pro­tr­u­ding square upon entry to the harbour, welcoming visitors. The town centre is cha­ra­cte­ri­sed by narrow cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, and cosy squares. It offers a rich com­merci­al and cultural life, and you will find historic buildings, museums, local arts and crafts, galleries, and more. There is ample op­portu­ni­ty to explore the island’s excellent beaches in all di­rections. Head south to visit Boderne or wonderful Dueodde—one of Denmark’s best beaches.
