Næs and Skaverup are located below Avnø Fjord. Two scenic gems side by side at the water’s edge with stunning views up through the fjord. You can also explore the area from the water, for example in a kayak, or see it all from above if you climb the im­pres­si­ve Gåsetårn (Goose Tower). Bjerge Beach is a holiday home area on the west coast of Zealand with views of the Great Belt. The area is known for its two beaches, which are extremely popular and a gathering point for locals and ho­li­day­ma­kers. Col­loqui­al­ly, the beaches are known as the South and North Beaches and both offer plenty of water play, sun­bat­hing and water sports. The area around Bjerge Beach is also rich in nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces. For example, just 10 km away you will find Denmark’s fourth largest lake, Tissø. Sur­ro­un­ded by protected nature, the lake draws several different species of birds. Visit the ob­ser­va­tion tower near the lake and ex­pe­ri­en­ce birdlife up close.

On Eastern Funen, you will find the old, charming market town of Nyborg. Nyborg oozes ancient history with its im­pres­si­ve medieval castle, Nyborg Castle, which was establis­hed back in the 13th century. The castle adorns the townscape and is the backdrop for several social events taking place in the town, espe­ci­al­ly in the summer. Here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the Medieval Festival and a wide range of musicals and theatre per­for­man­ces, among other things. Near the town centre, you will find Nyborg Strand, a popular beach with fine sand and clear water. The beach is a true at­tra­ction for the locals and ho­li­day­ma­kers alike.
