Tversted

Tversted offers genuine holiday spirit with a short distance to wide sandy beaches and close to town life. The holiday town has an abundance of local events and social initiatives. In the summer, various concerts and cultural events are held here and the largest jazz festival in Northern Jutland takes place in these parts every year. You can also immerse yourself in the cultural history of the town and explore the old mills adorning the townscape. When holidaying in Tversted, there is no denying the beautiful sandy beaches and the luxuriant nature surrounding the area. Take in the unique countryside via various established hiking trails.

Gedesby

A stone’s throw from Denmark’s southernmost point sits Gedesby, which offers authentic village vibes and idyllic scenery. In and around the town you will find beautiful old houses, thatched farmhouses and cosy green landscapes. The church, which dates back to the 1300s, is nestled in the centre of the town surrounded by the quaint main street and beautiful old mill. The area plays an important role in Denmark’s history so there is a lot of local folklore and tales to explore. The nature here is fantastic, with plantations, hiking trails and forests – and not least Gedesby Beach, which stretches as far as the eye can see.

Balka

Balka is located in a small bay on the south coast of Bornholm and is known for its beach. The water is calm, the sand is white, and the curved coastline forms the most beautiful oasis. Immerse yourself in the stunning natural surroundings for a few hours and forget the rest of the world. You can explore the area on foot or by bike. Charming Snogebæk is south of Balka, with shops, eateries, a smokehouse, and a cosy harbour setting. Heading north, you’ll encounter one of the island’s towns, Nexø, where you’ll find historic buildings, museums, cultural landmarks, local arts and crafts, and more.

Bogense

Northern Funen is home to the oldest market town on Funen, Bogense, offering the best views of the Kattegat. In the charming town centre, you will find small, well-preserved houses scattered around in the old, narrow and winding streets. Here you can see the historic Sankt Nikolaj Church and enjoy the lovely merchant square where you can experience the weekly market day with flower, fruit and vegetable stalls. Bogense also features various specialty shops and restaurants. Do not miss out on a trip past the harbour that is constantly buzzing with life and a meeting place for townspeople and holidaymakers.
