Ebeltoft is a small town frozen in time, with crooked half-timbered houses and narrow, cobbled streets. And just a short distance from the coast, you have several child-friendly beaches within easy reach. Along the coasts there is also ample op­portu­ni­ty for water sports and angling. Lønstrup is a cosy fishing village where time appears to stop when you let yourself become ent­hral­led by the charming summer villas from the 1920s, popping up here and there the hills around the town. The town oozes cosy at­mosp­he­re and holiday spirit with narrow, long and winding streets showca­sing one great and well-preserved fisherman’s cottage after the other. Today, the fishermen’s cottages house cafés, re­stau­rants and various art workshops where you can enjoy the local artists’ works of art – and yes, maybe you can buy a local souvenir to take home? A stone’s throw from the town, you will find Lønstrup Strand, known for its clear water and beautiful dune landsca­pes.

In Ommel, you will im­me­di­a­te­ly get a sense of the charm and tranqui­li­ty of island life. The gathering point for local residents and ho­li­day­ma­kers in the area is un­doub­ted­ly Ommel Harbour; from here you can enjoy looking at the boats bobbing gently in the water. In con­ti­nu­a­tion of the harbour, you will find the most wonderful sandy beach, a small tranquil gem in the middle of it all. The beach is a draw to the locals in the area so you will also quickly get the sense of being a part of the local en­viron­ment, far away from the typical turist at­tra­ctions. In Ommel, you can go for walks along the water, enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the beautiful views of the Baltic Sea.
