Col­loqui­al­ly, Klit­møl­ler is known as “Cold Hawaii”. The area by the North Sea is famous for its roaring waves and great wind con­di­tions. Surfers from all over the world travel here to try their strength against the waves. … and you will, of course, find room for sun­bat­hing and re­laxa­tion on the wide beaches in Klit­møl­ler to the sound of roaring waves, laughing and squealing. The town centre of the area oozes holiday spirit. Here you will find small cafés and local shops where you can buy anything from local arts and craft to surfing equipment. Klit­møl­ler is part of Thy National Park. This means that you will have the wild, ent­hral­ling nature right outside your cottage door.

Located on the southern tip of Langeland, the pleasant holiday village of Bagenkop is home to one of the best beaches on the island where you can soak up the sun and swim in the clear water. Pre­vious­ly, Bagenkop was a busy ferry town and you can still get that feeling when you take a walk along the harbour that overlooks the small well-preserved fishermen cottages. From the quay, you can enjoy the sight of the colourful fishing boats and meet the local fishermen hauling in the catch of the day. You can also put on your hiking boots and ex­pe­ri­en­ce the wild horses grazing at Dovns Klint; and if you are lucky, you might spot a porpoise or two in the green sur­ro­un­dings.

Spend your holiday home break in the old town of Præstø, and ex­pe­ri­en­ce nature, culture and history all in one place. The city boasts cobbled streets and coloured houses with an idyllic location over­look­ing the Præstø Fjord. In the harbour, you will find an authentic maritime at­mosp­he­re as you stroll along the pier. In the summer, the city trans­forms itself with markets, music and art festivals, but there is plenty of life and acti­vi­ties all year round. Visit, for example, the beautiful, majestic church or the local museum, where you can delve into the storied history of the area.

On the northern coast of the Kattegat is Hald Beach. Here you can easily spend hours swimming, playing games on the beach, reading a good book, enjoying the perfect view, and so on. The area is also ideal for exploring on foot or by bike, and you will find many lovely trails and routes around the terrain. The towering coastline gives the landscape a par­ti­cu­lar­ly dramatic feel and offers one bre­ath­taking view after another. Close to Hald Beach are several cosy harbour towns with plenty of at­mosp­he­re, shops and urban life. The area also offers art, culture, local spe­ci­a­li­ties and so much more.
