South of Skagen, you will find Kan­de­ste­der­ne, sur­ro­un­ded by tranqui­li­ty and pristine rugged nature. The area is known for its stunning dune landsca­pes and wide sandy beaches. This also makes Kan­de­ste­der­ne the perfect place for long walks and sun­bat­hing. Near Kan­de­ste­der­ne, you will find the im­pres­si­ve natural pheno­menon Råbjerg Mile, among the largest shifting dunes in Europe which is why it draws Danish and foreign ho­li­day­ma­kers alike. Hop on your bicycle and explore the area where you will find fields, small woodlands and pleasant nearby villages, each with their own history. From Hasmark, you can also head to Ene­bærod­de peninsula featuring beautiful nature and fa­sci­nat­ing bird life.

In the southern part of Rømø, you will find Havneby, a holiday paradise sur­ro­un­ded by mag­ni­fi­cent nature. Here you can go sailing on the Wadden Sea or explore the coastal areas on foot, horseback or by bike. There are plenty of lovely trails and routes to explore the fa­sci­nat­ing terrain and enjoy beautiful views. The harbour is a testament to proud fishing tra­di­tions, and here you will see im­pres­si­ve boats swaying and waiting for the next departure.
