Rønne

Rønne is the first town you come to when you arrive on lovely Bornholm. Beautiful St Nicholas Church is ma­jesti­cal­ly located in a pro­tr­u­ding square upon entry to the harbour, welcoming visitors. The town centre is cha­ra­cte­ri­sed by narrow cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, and cosy squares. It offers a rich com­merci­al and cultural life, and you will find historic buildings, museums, local arts and crafts, galleries, and more. There is ample op­portu­ni­ty to explore the island’s excellent beaches in all di­rections. Head south to visit Boderne or wonderful Dueodde—one of Denmark’s best beaches.

Båring Vig

At the bay Båring Vig, you will find the beautiful summer land area of the same name. Here you will find an extremely child-friendly beach - its calm water and fine sand create the perfect setting for splashing around and relaxing in the sun re­gard­less of age. Båring Vig is sur­ro­un­ded by beautiful scenery, inviting you on cycling and hiking trips. And with the Little Belt nearby, you will also have ample op­portu­ni­ty to go kayaking and ex­pe­ri­en­ce the beautiful Danish coastal landscape from the water. … if you are a true ad­ven­tu­rer deep inside, you can also try your hands at brid­gewal­king and reach the top of the Old Little Belt Bridge, 60 metres above sea level.
Østjylland_Odderkysten_Mariendal Strand

Mariendal Strand

South of Aarhus you will find the holiday home area, Mariendal Strand. Near the area is the beach, which is sur­ro­un­ded by natural sur­ro­un­dings and has a cosy fire pit. Here you can enjoy views of Aarhus Bay while roasting mars­h­mal­lows over an open fire with your feet planted in the fine sand. If you like biking, you can cycle towards Aarhus to the forests of Moesgaard and Mar­se­lis­borg, which stretch all the way down to the coast. And when visiting this area, you might want to visit the Moesgaard Museum, which has several exhi­bi­tions of ar­cha­e­o­lo­gi­cal finds, including the Grauballe Man, who - probably - is the world’s most well-preserved bog body.
