Meanwhile, on the other side, you can hear the roar of the North Sea. The nature, which is made up of heaths, plan­ta­tions, forest areas and dunes, is ideal for exploring on foot or by bike, but you can also seek out adventure at sea in a canoe or kayak. Finally, visit the at­mosp­he­ric and charming summer town of Søndervig, just a stone’s throw away.

Near Mid­del­fart, you have the small village of Føns. The locals know Føns as the natural gem of western Funen. And not unju­sti­fied. Here you are gu­a­ran­te­ed forests and green scenery, a rich bird life and the most wonderful beach right outside your cottage door. In this small village, there is also ample op­portu­ni­ty to go hiking outdoors. And if you are into bird watching, Føns is the perfect holiday desti­na­tion as you will find several bird species all in one place. Føns is known for its excellent beach at Føns Vig. Here you will find a sand bed and shallow water – and of course, the beach is a Blue Flag beach.
