Famous for its mussels, the city is host to The Harvest of Mussels Festival and the Mussels Festival, which kick-start this year’s festi­vi­ties. You can also try out a seal safari from Livø­fer­gen, relax on the car-free island of Livø, or if you want to shop, visit Løgstør, which is a short 10-minute drive from the holiday homes at Lendrup and Rønbjerg. The area is also a mecca for golfers with many golf courses within a short distance.

Saksild Strand is a popular holiday home area just outside the town of Saksild. The area is par­ti­cu­lar­ly well-known for its beautiful beach of the same name. Indeed, the beach is actually referred to as one of East Jutland’s best beaches. Here there is white sand and calm waters without large waves and un­dercur­rents. And of course, the beach has also been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for such fine swimming con­di­tions. In and around the holiday home area you will find several good eateries and a nearby ice cream house known for its great ice cream. From Saksild Strand you have a 20-minute drive to Aarhus, while you can get to Odder in 10 minutes.
